Replacing the front rubber bushings of the trailing arm

To remove the sleeves, do the following:

- Remove the splash guard 1 (Fig. 8.13) Bracket 3 parking brake cable;

- Establish a support under the body, but so that the wheel is not cleared;

- Disconnect the traction control from the toe of the trailing arm, unscrew the bolt 2 from the front of the rubber sleeve, pull the trailing arm down and lock;

- Mount sleeve 999 5632 (Fig. 8.14) and the screw 999 5589 on the special tool 999 5575;

- Insert the screw into the rubber plug, put the sleeve 999 5632-2 and tighten the nut;

- Extract the rubber plug and remove it with a special tool;

- Clean the trailing arm;

- Cover the rubber grommet mounting grease 1161006-0;

- Install the special tool on the screw 999 5632 999 5589;

- Install the screw and the new rubber plug, make sure of the correctness of its installation;

- Install rubber grommet in the special tool 999 5632 outside, tighten the nut with your fingers;

- Press in the rubber grommet in the trailing arm until it stops;

- Remove the special tool;

- Make sure that the rubber sleeve acts equally on each side;

- Lift the trailing arm and put the bolt 2 (see. Fig. 8.13);

- Fit the thrust control of a convergence on the trailing arm. Tighten the bolts to 35 Nm;

- Remove the support and swing the car a few times up and down;

- Tighten the bolt to a torque of 90 Nm;

- Put the parking brake cable bracket, tighten the four bolts to

21 Nm;

- Put the mudguard and tighten the bolt to 15 Nm.
