Replacing cylinder head gasket
If you find a leak of engine oil or coolant in the joints of the cylinder head with the cylinder block, remove the head and replace the gasket. Leakage may also arise due to warping due to overheating of the head unit. 2. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery. | | 4. A WARNING Failure to remove the oil from the screw holes for the bolts fastening the cylinder head, the tightening bolt in the cylinder block may crack as the oil is incompressible. |
47. Install the cylinder block a new gasket, centering it on the two guide bushings. 48. Install the cylinder head in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following: - Always replace the head gasket of a new, re-use it is not allowed; - Be sure to replace with new head bolts as they deform when tightening and re-use are not suitable. Tighten the bolts on the engine is cold in the sequence shown in Fig. 5.4 in five phases: 1st - tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (2.5 kgf-m); 2nd - tighten bolts at an angle of 60 ?�; 3rd - further tighten the bolts on a corner 60 ?�; 4th - additionally tighten bolts at an angle of 60 ?�; 5th - definitively tighten bolts on a corner 10 ?�;
NOTE After the first start of the assembled engine, warm it up to operating temperature and full cooling after stopping further tighten the bolts of the cylinder head at an angle of 30-50 ?�. |
- Replace the new gasket reception pipe exhaust system, deformable tightening nuts. 49. Install all the parts and components in the reverse order of removal.
