Checking and replacing the fuel pressure regulator
Serviceability of the regulator is determined by the fuel pressure in the injector rail on the engine is running. 1. Connect a pressure gauge to the fuel supply line (see. "Check the pressure in the fuel system"). 2. Start up the engine. When the engine is idling the pressure in the fuel system should be about 300 kPa (3.0 kgf / cm 2). 3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pressure regulator. The pressure gauge should increase to 20-70 psi (0.2-0.7 kg / cm 2). If the pressure at idle below normal and does not increase when you disconnect the vacuum hose, replace a pressure regulator. 4. If, during the inspection of the pressure regulator to it was again vacuum hose is connected, disconnect it. | | 5.
