Check backlash steering wheel for vehicles with power steering

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start up the engine with the steering wheel installed in the straight. With the front wheels established for rectilinear movement, measure the force that must be applied to the steering wheel to turn the wheel left and right. Force: 5 N
2. Place the front wheels to straight-line motion, gently turn the steering wheel left and right until the occurrence of notable resistance and measure the steering gear backlash. Luft measure the outside diameter of the steering wheel. Steering Wheel Play: 0-30 mm
	3. If the backlash exceeds the limit, it means that wear and tear cruciate universal joints of the steering shaft or steering gear.
