Check the transmission fluid pressure (A4AF3)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Start up the engine to warm up the transmission.
  2. Lift the front side of the car so that the drive wheels can rotate freely.
  3. Connect the tachometer and arranged so as to be clearly visible.
  4. Connect the special gauge 09452-21500 09452-21002 with an adapter to each nipple pressure test. To test the back pressure is necessary to use a pressure gauge to measure the limit of 3000 kPa.
  5. Measure the pressure of the transmission fluid at various positions of the gear lever and the speed of the engine crankshaft. If the pressure does not correspond to the desired value, check and repair the transmission elements.

Preliminary steps, if the oil pressure is abnormal (A4AF3)

Symptom
Probable Cause
Actions
Pressure in the pipeline very low (or high).
"Pressure in conduit" refers to the standard pressure transmission fluid 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, in table

1. dirty oil filter

2. Improper adjustment of the pressure control valve

3. Dirty valve controller

4. There is a gap of valve body

5. Inadequate pressure generated by the oil pump

1. Visually inspect the oil filter and, if necessary, replace it.

2. Check the pressure in the pipeline for criterion 2 (Kickdown):
- If the pressure is not correct, adjust the pressure in the pipeline and, if necessary, replace the valve body

3. Check the operation of the control valve and, if necessary, replace the valve body

4. Tighten the valve body and set screw

5. Check the axial clearance of the oil pump gears and, if necessary, replace the oil pump

Inadequate pressure reduction

1. inappropriate line pressure

2. Clogging (L-shaped type)

3. Incorrect setting of pressure reducing

4. Improper adjustment of pressure reduction

5. Seized reducing valve

6. There is a gap of valve body

1. Check the pressure on the criterion 2:
- If the pressure is not correct, see. P. 1

2. Disassemble the valve body, check the filter and, if necessary, replace it

3. Check the pressure on the criterion 1:
if the pressure is not correct, repair or replace the valve body

4. Check the operation of the control valve and, if necessary, replace the valve body

5. Tighten the valve body and set screw

Inadequate brake pressure kickdown

1. Damaged D-ring, O-ring, sleeve or kickdown servo

2. There is a gap of valve body

3. Functional failure valve body

1. Remove the kickdown servo and check the O-ring and D-ring. In the presence of scratches, replace the D-ring or O-ring

2. Tighten the valve body and set screw

3. Replace the valve body

Inadequate pressure front clutch

1. Damaged D-ring, sleeve or kickdown servo

2. There is a gap of valve body

3. Damaged valve body

4. Wear the forward clutch piston or retainer damaged D-rings

5. Defective oil pump gasket or O-ring

1. Remove the kickdown servo and check the O-ring. In the presence of scratches or replace the O-ring D-ring

2. Tighten the valve body and set screw

3. Replace the valve body

4. Disassemble the transmission and check for wear on the piston front grip, the inner circumference of the retainer or damaged D-rings. In the presence of wear or damage, replace the corresponding elements

Improper clutch pressure of the main transfer

1. Damaged D-ring, O-ring or O-ring pipeline

2. There is a gap of valve body

3. Damaged valve body

1. Disassemble the clutch final drive and check the D-rings, piston ring, o-ring retainer, etc. In the presence of scratches, replace the corresponding elements

2. Tighten the valve body and set screw the set screw

3. Replace the valve body

Low brake pressure low gear and reverse gear

1. Damaged seal between the valve body and gearbox

2. There is a gap of valve body

3. Damaged valve body

4. Damaged O-ring low brake transmission and reverse gear, or the O-ring retainer

1. Remove the valve, check the seals and, if necessary, replace it

2. Tighten the valve body and set screw

3. Replace the valve body

4. Disassemble the transmission, check the condition of the sealing ring and, if necessary, replace it

Inappropriate converter pressure

1. Seized distributor solenoid operated clutch control damper (DCCSV) clutch control valve or damper

2. A clogged or leaking oil cooler and / or lines

3. Damaged input shaft seal ring

4. Damaged converter

1. Check the operation of the clutch damper and DCCSV

2. Repair or replace the radiator and / or lines

3. Disassemble the transmission, check the condition of the sealing ring and, if necessary, replace it

4. Replace the torque converter

Improper clutch pressure reverse gear

1. Damaged D-ring, O-ring or O-ring clutch reverse gear

2. There is a gap of valve body

3. Damaged valve body is probably the same reason as the reason for the violation damper clutch pressure control

1. Disassemble the clutch final drive and check the D-rings of the piston, the O-ring retainer, etc. In the presence of scratches, replace the corresponding elements

2. Tighten the valve body and set screw

3. Replace the valve body is probably the same method to eliminate that and addressing the causes of violations of the damper clutch pressure control

Improper clutch pressure damper
