Device combination
Refitting | | - Disconnect the negative battery terminal
- Unscrew the instrument cluster.
- Remove the ashtray, then remove the screws fixing the instrument cluster.
| - Disconnect the connectors from the instrument cluster. Remove the instrument cluster.
| - Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
Check speedometer | - Adjust tire pressure.
- Place the vehicle on the stand to check the speedometer and place wedges under the rear wheels.
- Check whether the speedometer within the tolerance given in the technical data.
| When checking the speedometer suddenly do not press the clutch pedal rapidly and do not increase / decrease speed. |
| Tire wear and improper tire pressure leads to an increase in the error rate measurement. |
Tachometer | - Connect the test tachometer.
- Start the engine. Compare the speedometer of the car with the test tachometer readings. If the difference between the readings exceed the allowable value, replace tachometer.
| - Reversing the tachometer will damage semiconductor devices inside the tachometer.
- When removing and installing the tachometer be careful not to drop or hit it.
The fuel gauge | - Turn on the ignition.
| - Connect the lamp power of 3.4 W and an operating voltage of 12 V to terminals 1 and 3.
- Turn on the ignition and check that the indicator lamp is lit in the full glow and arrow pointer indicates a full tank.
Check resistance | - Remove the instrument cluster.
- Connect the variable resistor to the terminals 11 (M09-1) and 13 (M09-1). Ensure that the pointer indicates the fuel level in accordance with a change in resistance. Otherwise, replace the fuel gauge.
Resistance, Ohm | Level | 97 | E (empty) | 32.5 | 12 | 6 | F (Full) |
Fuel Level Sensor | - Ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3 in each position of the float.
The position of the float | F | 12 | E | Resistance, Ohm | 3 | 32.5 | 110 |
| - Also make sure that when the float is moved from position ?E? to position ?F? resistance changes smoothly.
Temperature Gauge | | - Ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 2 and "weight".
- If the resistance is not as given in the table, replace the temperature gauge.
Temperature, ? C | 60 | 85 | 110 | 125 | Resistance, Ohm | 119.4 | 48.9 | 25 | 15.8 |
Oil pressure sensor | | - Make sure that the engine is switched off has a conductivity between the contact sensor and the "weight".
- Make sure the engine is running there is no conductivity between the contact sensor and the "weight".
- Otherwise, replace the oil pressure switch.
