Bleeding the steering system hydrostrengthening
Upon completion of any procedure requiring disconnecting hydraulic lines hydrostrengthening steering system must be primed to remove air therefrom and to obtain an adequate gain when the steering wheel. | - Install the front wheels in the straight-ahead position, check the fluid level of the system, if necessary, make topping, bringing it to the level of "C" (Cold) on the dipstick.
- Start the engine and leave it running at a fast idle speed. Recheck the fluid level in the system. If necessary, top it up to the mark "C" on the dipstick.
- Bleed the system by turning the steering wheels from lock to lock, but without impact on the travel stops. Thus caught in the air will be kicked out of it. During the procedure, make sure that it was always a full tank.
- Once the air is removed from the system once again set the wheels in straight-ahead position, and before you turn off the engine, let it run for a few minutes.
- Perform trial runs, checking serviceability and quiet operation of the steering.
- Recheck the fluid level when heated to normal operating temperature of the engine - it should be at "H" (hot) on the dipstick. If necessary, make a topping (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).
