- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the heater / air conditioner, removing it from under the instrument panel (see section Removing and installing heat exchanger heater).
- Turn upside down to remove the block and take the screws that secure the two halves of it together.
- Remove the central heating sleeve and give the screw.
| - To provide access to the last screw (arrow) remove the central heating sleeve.

- Carefully turn the block heater / air conditioner and separate the top half from the bottom of his jacket.
- Remove the evaporator from the bottom half of the casing.
- Install in reverse order. If the evaporator will be replaced by a new, add in 2 ounces (56.7 grams) of fresh refrigerant oil (such as R-134).
| The air spring locks butt joints in the assembly lines of the system must be installed O-rings that are suitable for use in contact with oil, type R-134a. |
- In the same workshop, which produces a discharge, empty, recharge and check for leaks.
