Removing and installing driver's airbag

The airbag is removed for replacement and removal of the steering wheel.

You will need: TORX T40 wrench, flat-blade screwdriver.

WARNINGS

Do not disassemble and repair the airbag module and wires for reuse.

Do not drop the airbag module and hit him water, grease or oil.

When carrying out electrical welding work, always disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery and disconnect the connectors for airbag located underneath the steering column near the pin stalk.

Do not expose the front airbag temperature above 93 ?� C.

1. Disconnect a wire from the plug ?�-?� the storage battery.

WARNINGS

To remove the airbag is possible only after the full discharge of the capacitor activator. For the discharge of the capacitor is necessary after disconnecting the wire from the plug ?�-?� the storage battery, wait at least 15 minutes.

Connect the cable to the "-" terminal of the battery only after the installation of the airbag module is completed.


2. Remove the three screws securing the airbag module ...	3. ... gently pry the airbag module ...


4. Push the lock ... pad wiring harnesses towards ...	5. Disconnect the pads ... ...

6. ... and remove airbag module.

7. Install the air bag module in the reverse order of removal.
