Features of operation of vehicles equipped with catalytic converter trifunctional
Three-functional catalytic converter is a high element of emission control and incorporated into the exhaust system. Inside the working member converter exhaust gas post-combustion occurs at high temperature to reduce the content of toxic constituents. - When the engine components of the exhaust system can be heated to very high temperatures, - try not to touch the heated elements and not to park on the grounds covered with flammable objects (fallen leaves, dry grass, debris, etc.).
- Do not use for refueling a vehicle equipped with a catalytic converter leaded petrol, - it contained a high concentration of lead is deposited on the surface of the transducer element in substantially reducing the efficiency of its operation.
- Follow the proper settings and adjustments of the engine. Deviations when setting the operating parameters of the ignition, fuel injection and engine management can lead to a dangerous pereobogaschenie air-fuel mixture which could result in overheating of the catalytic converter. In the event of misfiring operation of a vehicle should be suspended until the correct the problem - not warmed with the misfire of the fuel enters the combustion chamber converter, which can easily catch fire (for the same reason, you should avoid the engine starts by towing or pushing).
- Watch the fuel, try not to allow its full development, usually involving a misfire occurrence (see. Previous item).
- Begin the movement only after the engine has warmed up to normal operating temperature.
