Removing and installing the rear light

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.

2. Open the boot lid / tailgate.
3. Open the side trim near the rear light.
4. Disconnect the rear light connector.
5. If necessary, remove the bulb holder, as described in section Replacing incandescent exterior lights.

6. Remove the nuts (arrows in the figure) (shown taillight Sedan). The model Universal side nut plate is closed.

7. Remove the rear light.

1. In the presence of cracks or damage rubber gaskets, and cracking of the lens must be replaced because otherwise, the water will penetrate the interior.
2. Install the lamp with the gasket in place. Check the correct position of the gasket.
3. Secure the lamp with four nuts. This nut must be tightened equally.
4. Dock connector lantern.
5. Close the side trim.
