11 - Catches

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Uncover the cocking lever parking brake (5).
Remove the center console and the left side panel trim it (see chap. Body).
Remove the adjusting nut (38).
Remove the parking brake shoes (see. Section Replacement of boots of a lay brake).
Release locking fasteners drive cable (2) to the carrier plate (1).
Release the clips (a) fixing the cables (2) to the bottom of the car.
Release ropes (2) of the grommet (3) in the bottom.
release the rope (2) from the support bracket (4).
Wipe all the components and visually assess their condition. If necessary, replace.
Installation is in the reverse order - note the difference in the length of the cables. In order to facilitate the transmission cable (2) into the holes in the grommets (3) lubricate them with soapy water. Threaded fasteners of the fastening clips to the bottom rope grease anticorrosive.
Finally, adjust the parking brake (see. Section Adjusting the parking brake).
