Dismantling and assembling brake differential
Front axle The design of the front axle transverse differential
| - Remove the differential assembly to the ring gear (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
- Turn out fixing bolts and remove the driven gear (1).
- Using a suitable puller remove the tapered roller bearings (2).
- Remove the cover from the differential housing (3), - mark the position of the spherical washers, gears and cross each other and on the box. Also mark the position of the lid on the box.
- Remove one of the side gears (4) and shim.
- Remove the spider assembly (5) with satellites (6).
- Remove satellites (6) with spherical washers (7).
- Remove the second side gear (4).
- Wipe the removed components, replace defective parts.
- Installation is in the reverse order - shims should be deployed to the grooved side gear. Track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of adjusting labels. Before installation of tapered roller bearings, check the resistance of the side gear from turning - if necessary pick interchangeable shims.
| Before overmolded bearings should be heated to a temperature of about 80 ? C, - the bearings should be planted right next to the differential gears. |

Rear Axle The design of transverse differential rear axle
| - Remove the differential assembly to the ring gear (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
- Using a suitable puller remove the tapered roller bearing (2) (from the driven gear).
- Turn out fixing bolts and remove the box (3) driven gear (1).
- Using a suitable puller remove the tapered roller bearing (12) (from the box).
- Pre marking the installation position, separate from the box (3) the cover (10).
- Remove the first side gear (4) with thrust washer (9).
- Remove the crosspiece (5) with satellites (6) and the spherical washers (7).
- Remove the second side gear (4) and washer (9).
- Wipe the removed components, replace defective parts.
- Installation is in the reverse order - shims should be deployed to the grooved side gear. Track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of adjusting labels. Before installation of tapered roller bearings, check the resistance of the differential-rotation (before overmolded conical bearings should be heated to a temperature of about 80 ? C, - the bearings should be planted right next to the differential gears).
| A thinner shim must be installed on the crown wheel to ensure sufficient engagement backlash. |
