Removing and installing steering column with electric adjustment

| - On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
| - Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.
| | - Expand in the straight-ahead position and remove the steering wheel (see. Section Removal and installation of the steering wheel).
- Remove the instrument cluster (see chap. Body).
- Remove the cover to the left under the dashboard.
- 7 Remove the ignition assembly (EIS) (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
- Remove the lid of the column cover.
- At a corresponding complete set remove the knee stress.
- Disconnect the connectors (3) wiring.
- Remove the switch mode switching operation of lighting (See chap. Onboard electric equipment).
- Remove the screws (12 and 11).
- Remove spacer tube (4).
- Remove the upper (7) and lower (8) bolts.
- Give a nut (2) and remove the screw (9) of the central universal joint (1).
- Having hooked, remove the hinge (1) on the steering shaft (14).
- Pull into the passenger compartment, remove the sleeve of the steering column (5), - try not to damage the boot (10).
- Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to put the pin (13) in the receptacle carrier bracket (6).
- With proper configuration, deactivate the service mode of TELE AID.
- Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
