Towing

Towing should be performed under the following conditions.

Use proper tow rope.

Turn the ignition key to the "on" position to the steering column lock has been released and that the direction indicators and brake lights work.

Before towing, release the hand brake and gear shift lever set to neutral.

Note that a greater force is required to press the brake pedal as the brake servo only works when the engine is running.

On models with power steering will require more effort to turn the steering wheel.

On models with automatic transmission, observe special precautions, because otherwise the gearbox can be easily damaged.
