Checking oil pressure and oil pressure sensor
The pressure gauge used to check the engine oil pressure and oil pressure sensor performance
| A - oil pressure sensor, 3 - grounding wire gauge
|
If the engine warning lamp oil pressure and a beep sounds, it can be caused by:
- The oil level is below normal; - A fault in the electrical circuit of the pressure sensor and a control lamp; - Poor performance of the oil pump; - Too big a gap in the bearings of the crankshaft. At fire of a control bulb of pressure of oil in the engine is running, immediately turn off the engine. Using the dipstick engine oil, check the oil level and, if necessary, finish it to norm. Run the engine at idle speed and check that the oil pressure warning lamp is no longer illuminated. In this case, you can continue driving. If the engine oil level is normal and the oil pressure control lamp is lit, do not keep going on their own, and drag the car to the shop to check the oil pressure. If the oil pressure is normal, check the oil pressure gauge and electric kuyu sensor circuit. To check the oil pressure and oil pressure sensor requires the use of a pressure gauge, which you can screw the oil pressure sensor.
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check the engine oil level and, if necessary, finish it to norm. | 2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature. | 3. Remove from the holder of the oil filter oil pressure gauge and screw it to the manometer. See fig. The pressure gauge used to check the engine oil pressure and oil pressure sensor performance. | 4. Screw manometer adapter instead of oil pressure in the oil filter holder. | 5. Connect to the weight of the car grounding wire gauge. | 6. Using additional wires, connect the control LED to the positive terminal of the battery and contact the oil pressure sensor. The LED should light up. | 7. Start the engine and slowly increase engine speed. When excess pressure in gasoline engines 1.2-1.6 bar, 0.75-1.05 bar for diesel engines, the LED should go out. Otherwise, the oil pressure sensor is faulty. | 8. Increase the engine speed to 2000 rev / min. When the oil temperature + 80 ? C the excess oil pressure must be at least 2.0 bar. Lower oil pressure indicates wear of crankshaft bearings. | 9. Continue further increase in engine speed. When this oil pressure must not exceed 7.0 bar. Otherwise faulty valve and the need to replace the oil pump with a relief valve. | 10. Install the oil pressure gauge with a new sealing ring and tighten it to 25 Nm. |
