Replacement of the fuel pump

If engine power decreases, there was an increased noise or howling is heard periodically during operation of the fuel pump, then most likely, the fuel pump is out of order.
Pre-check the pressure in the fuel system in the following manner.
1. Check the fuel pressure regulator (see. "Checking and replacing the fuel pressure regulator").
2. If the system pressure is less than 250 kPa (2.5 kgf / cm 2), replace the fuel filter (see. "Replacement of the fuel filter").
If in this case the pressure does not increase, the fuel pump must be replaced, since the pump trudnorazbiraemaya design and its components separately as spare parts is not supplied.
You will need: a screwdriver with a flat edge, the capacity to drain the fuel from the fuel pump module.
1. Reduce the pressure in the supply system (see. "Reducing the pressure in the fuel system").
2. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
3. Remove the rear bench seat (see. "Removing and installing rear seat").
4. Pry the screwdriver ...
5. ... and remove the plastic cover of the hatch in the bottom of the body of the fuel pump.
6. Press the right latch pad wiring harness ...
7. ... and disconnect the connector from the fuel pump module.
8. Gripping plastic latches, disconnect the pump nozzles nozzles return pipe ...
9. ... and the high-pressure fuel line.
10. Turn the screwdriver to clamp ring fuel pump module counterclockwise until the matching slots in the ring with the projections of the flange of the fuel tank ...
11. ... and remove the ring.
12. Note the position of the fuel pump module with respect to the fuel tank (to facilitate its installation in the reverse installation), carefully remove the module and drain the fuel into the prepared container.
13. Remove the O-ring and inspect it. Be sure to replace the ring if it is torn or badly crimped.
14. Install the fuel pump module in reverse order of removal, and in the same position it was in before removal (see. P. 12).

NOTE
The fuel pump module can be installed in a fuel tank in one position, since the bottom of the beaker chamfered module rests his two rubber buffers in the sloping wall of the fuel tank. When installing the tank in any other position to consolidate its tightening ring fails.
