Removing and installing front door trim
You will need: Phillips screwdriver and flat blades. 1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery. | | 2. Remove the screw fastening of facing the armrest ... | 3. ... slide trim back, bring it to latch out of engagement with the armrest ... |
| | 4. ... and pull the liner out of the slot of the armrest. | 5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the control box power windows, installed in the wall, and remove the trim. |
| | 6. Remove the trim support outside rearview mirror, overcoming the resistance of its clips. | 7. Having hooked a screw-driver ... |
HELPFUL ADVICE In order not to scratch the parts, wrap the screwdriver with insulating tape. |
| | 8. ... remove facing the inside handle of the lock. | 9. Remove the three screws securing the trim to the bottom edge of the door. |
10. Remove the trim panel from the door against the force of the pistons.
NOTE Door trim (view from the back side) is attached to the door panel with five plastic pistons. Damaged replace with new pistons, removing them from the brackets upholstery. If necessary, remove the padding pockets, removing seven screws securing it. |
| | 11. Remove the two screws that secure the bracket to the armrest of the door panel and remove the bracket. | 12. Peel off the door panel moisture proof film. |
13. Install the rear door trim and all the removed parts in reverse order of removal. NOTE Installation bracket armrest arrow stamped on it must be facing forward in the direction of travel. |
