Check and replace the valve system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV) (engines V8) (every 48 000 km (30,000 miles) or every two years)

| - When running at idle to warm up to normal operating temperature of the engine, remove the valve (with the hose attached to it) from the rubber grommet in the lid of the head.
- Press your finger to the opening of the valve. If vacuum is not felt, check whether the permeability of broken hose, pipe or the port of the valve. Damaged or blocked hose replaced.
- Turn the engine off and shake the valve PCV, listening to the clatter inside. If the valve is not booming, replace it.
- To replace the PCV valve from the hose to separate it, to memorize the position and direction of the correct installation.
- When purchasing a new PCV valve make according to its type and volume of the engine of your car. For complete warranty compare the new valve to remove.
- Insert the valve end of the hose to its full landing.
- Check the condition of grommet. In case of defects, replace it.
- Fit the valve with the hose in place.
