Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
Remove the protective screen mounted under the front of the engine (crankcase).
Remove belts (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).
Remove the heat sink and fan (s) cooling system (Head of System of cooling, heating and air conditioning).
Give a fixing bolt of vibration damper and remove the washer.

To hold the crankshaft from turning insert two screws 5/16 * 1-1 / 2 (inches) into the holes in the damper wedge between them and the lever. Then, rotate the shaft so that the lever rested in a frame.

Using a special tool, remove vibration damper from a pin of the crankshaft.

To remove the vibration damper, use pliers, as shown in the picture - do not try to use a stripper gripper - this will damage the damper.

Strip and check the surface of the central hub of the damper where it is in contact with the front shaft seal. Minor flaws may be eliminated by using sandpaper. If the hub developed a deep groove, replace the damper or in the studio Car set the hub exposing to restore the contact surface.
Having hooked gland special tool or screwdriver, carefully remove it from the cover of the distribution chain. Try not to scratch the wall socket and not to damage the surface of the shaft journal.

Remove the old oil seal by prying it with a special tool (as shown here) or a screwdriver.

Strip the wall socket in the lid and brush the outer edges of a new epiploon with clean motor oil or multi-purpose grease. With removable front head, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the outer diameter of the packing gland gently into the slot zastuchite hammer. Instead of the head may be used a short section of pipe of appropriate diameter. Make sure that during installation of the gland had not jumped expansion spring.

Gently zastuchite new oil seal in the slot with a hammer and interchangeable head end.

Grease the contact surface of the hub vibration damper clean motor oil.
Align the keyway of the hub damper with key in a pin crankshaft and carefully zastuchite damper on a pin hammer with soft brisk.
Install bolt vibration damper and tighten it with demanded effort.
The installation of the remaining components of the procedure in the reverse order of removal.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
