Adjusting the throttle position sensor (TP) (2,5 l V6)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before adjusting the throttle position sensor to adjust the speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling

1. Unplug the connector from the throttle position sensor.

2. A jumper to connect additional probes of the voltmeter to terminals 1 and 2 of the connector throttle position sensor.

3. Insert the probe thickness of 0.65 mm between the screw adjusting the speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling (SAS) and the throttle lever.

4. Loosen the screws securing the throttle position sensor and turn the sensor housing to the stop anti-clockwise.
5. In this state, check that there is conduction between terminals 1 and 2.

6. Slowly turn the throttle position sensor clockwise to the point where there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2, and tighten the bolt of the throttle position sensor.

7. Connect to the throttle position sensor.
8. Connect the scanner to the diagnostic socket in the fuse box.
9. In the absence of the scanner, connect a voltmeter to terminals 2 and 3 of the connector throttle position sensor.

Do not disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.

For accurate measurements using a digital voltmeter.

10. Switch on the ignition.

Do not start the engine.

11. Check the output voltage of the throttle position sensor.

The output voltage of the throttle position sensor: 250-800 mV

12. If the output voltage of the throttle position sensor is not equal to the present specification, check the throttle position sensor.
13. Remove the dipstick.

14. Switch off the ignition.
