Measurement of radial clearance in the crankshaft bearing
Install the crankshaft bearing caps and crankshaft. Put the pieces of the calibrated plastic wire on top of the shaft neck, placing them along the axis. Install the crankshaft bearing caps and cylinder block. Remove the crankshaft bearing caps.

If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the main bearing using the main bearing selection table or grind crank journal bearing and install the larger size so that this gap has been provided.
Normal clearance: 0,019-0,035 mm Maximum gap: 0.10 mm
