Removing and installing the generator
Details of the installation of the generator in the petrol models
| - Details of the installation of the generator in the petrol models are shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Loosen the alternator drive belt.
- With proper configuration, remove the protective cap and disconnect the wiring from the terminal 30 (1) and 61 (2) of the generator.
- Remove the mounting bolts (3) and remove the generator (G2).
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, do not forget to complete the procedures associated with the connection of the battery.

| - Details of the installation of the generator models 163.113 (engine series 612) are shown in the illustrations, which include all the links in the text.
- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the right front wheel and the wheel arch locker protection.
- Remove noise insulation.
- Disconnect the clutch (2), release fasteners, and disconnect the wiring from the generator.
- With the appropriate equipment, remove the protective cap and locking wire on terminal 30 (3), remove the screws (4).
- Drain the cooling system (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Remove the air cleaner housing (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Loosen and remove the drive belt.
- Remove the screws (5) and disconnect the oil line (7) from the turbocharger.
- Remove the coolant supply line (6).
- Remove the fixing bolts (9) and remove the bracket (10).
- Remove the bolt (11), an arm of the vibration damper.
- Remove the bolts (8) securing the cooler housing (1).
- Remove the generator (G2), lowering it down to collect a cooler housing (1).
- Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to replace the sealing elements (12 and 13). If there are signs of leaks, remove the generator from the cooler housing and replace the O-ring. Finally, connect the negative cable to the battery.

- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the lower section of the soundproofing.
- Drain the cooling system (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Remove the air cleaner (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Remove the fan assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating and air conditioner).
- Remove the sleeve bypass air path (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- In order to ensure access take aside the cooling hose tract (4).
- Remove the drive belt.
- Remove the bolt (5) securing cooling line path.
- Disconnect the connector of the clutch (7).
- Disconnect the electrical wiring from the terminal 30 (8).
- Remove the bracket (10).
- Remove the screws (12).
- Press the generator (G2) assembly from the cooler housing (13) to the right and remove the assembly from the engine compartment.
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.
- Connect the negative cable to the battery (see. Section Battery - general information, tips for maintenance).
