Removal and installation of a rain sensor

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.

2. Remove the cover (1).

3. Disconnect the connector (2) of the rain sensor (4).

4. Place the screwdriver (5) into the slots (3) on the sides of the rain sensor and open the two locks on the right and the left.
5. Remove the rain sensor (4) from the holder.

The lens sensor is glued to the windshield. The lens may be replaced only at the service station.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
2. Attach a weight cable (-) battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the code for the radio and set the time on the clock.
3. Check the operation of the rain sensor and turn on the wiper intervals. To do this, pour water on the windscreen in the area of the sensor.
