Removal and installation of the radio
 | Before removing the radio you need to find out and write the code to protect against theft. Otherwise, the radio can be enabled only on the STO Mersedes or the radio manufacturer. |
 | Since mid-2002, the company equips radios Mersedes no safety codes, as board electronics, after connecting the battery, automatically detects radio. |
Withdrawal
| 1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment. 2. Remove the top of the center console, refer to the appropriate section. | 3. Remove the 2 screws (arrows on an illustration). |
4. Remove the radio from the mounting opening.  | Under pocket radio receiver (1) in this case is removed along with the radio receiver. |
5. Disconnect all the connectors and aerial cable on the back of the radio. Remove the radio from the center console. 6. Connection via fiber-optic cable: Caution Disconnect the fiber optic cable connector on the back of the radio.  | Do not bend, pull and do not wrinkle fiber optic cable. Places transitions fiber-optic cable is not allowed to pollute or scrape. Designated contacts are protected by caps and plugs. |

Setting
| 1. Dock Connector or connect radio receiver fiber optic cable. 2. Insert the mounting pocket opening. 3. Carefully insert the radio into the installation opening and secure it to the center console. 4. Replace the cover of the central console, refer to the appropriate section. 5. Connect the earth cable (-) battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the code for the radio and set the time on the clock. |

Withdrawal
| 1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment. 2. Remove the top of the center console, refer to the appropriate section. | 3. Remove the 4 screws (arrows on an illustration). |
4. Remove the navigation device from the mounting opening. 5. Disconnect all the connectors and aerial cable on the back of the radio. Remove the radio from the center console. 6. Setting
| 1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal. 2. Attach a weight cable (-) battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the code for the radio and set the time on the clock. |
