Replacement of the fuel filter
 | Gasoline and diesel are highly flammable, so when working with any components of the fuel system must take special precautions. Do not smoke and do not go near the place of work with open fire or unprotected moving the shade. Do not perform such work in the garages equipped with heaters powered by natural gas (such as water heater, dryer, etc.). The working area should be well ventilated. If any gasoline spills on your skin, immediately rinse it off with soap and water. When carrying out any work on the fuel system put on goggles and keep a fire extinguisher. |
Gasoline engines
The fuel filter is located in front of the rear axle on the left side under the car at the bottom.
Withdrawal
| 1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment. 2. Relieve the pressure in the fuel tank, which briefly remove the lid of the tank.  | Operation lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! 3. Lift and establish the car on supports. 4. Remove the bottom facing left-back so that the fuel filter was available. 5. Remove the fuel hoses screen, located upstream of the filter. 6. To ease assembly, mark fuel hoses tape. 7. Clamp the fuel hose clamp, for example, HAYET-4590. 8. Remove the screw on the filter mount. 9. Remove the fuel hoses collars. 10. Disconnect fuel hoses, substitute for escaping fuel container and wipe the thick cloth absorbent fuel. 11. Remove the fuel filter. |

Setting
| 1. Install the new fuel filter. 2. Connect the hose with the fuel filter according to the labels. Attach the hose clamps. 3. Attach the filter holder. 4. Replace the fuel hoses screen. 5. Replace the bottom of the left rear trim. 6. Lower the car on wheels. 7. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. Enter the code of the radio and set the time on the clock. |

Diesel engine The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment on the left near the engine. Withdrawal
| 1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment. 2. Remove the top cover of the engine, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine cover.  | Substitute under escaping fuel container or enclose a thick cloth. |
| 3. Disconnect the fuel hose (1) going to the high pressure fuel pump (fuel pump) from the fuel filter (2). To do this, press the retaining clip (3) to the stop (arrow), setting it to the open position, and remove the connecting element.  | Then immediately return the clip to its closed position. It must not be a long period of time in the open position. |

4. Release the clamp for fuel hose (4) and slide it back. Remove the fuel hose. 5. Remove the screw (5) on the yoke (6) and remove the fuel filter. |

Setting
| 1. Install the new fuel filter in the clamp and tighten its moment of 8 nm. 2. Put the fuel hose on the filter and fix its collar. 3. Check o-ring on the connecting element transparent fuel pipe for cracks or any damage. Check the position of the locking collar. If the locking collar for a long time in the open position must be replaced with a new fuel pipeline. 4. Place the filter in the fuel line. Check the reliability of its fastening by moving in different directions. 5. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. Enter the code of the radio and set the time on the clock. 6. Engine 611,962, starting with number 257722 and 612,962 engine: remove the air from the low pressure fuel circuit, refer to Section Removal of air from the low pressure fuel circuit. 7. Replace the top cover of the engine, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine cover. 8. Start the engine and visually check the fuel system for leaks. |
