Belt power steering pump

Belt will pull correctly if you click on it with your thumb between the two pulleys, it bends around 5 mm. V-belt tension is done by adding or removing spacers between the two halves of the pulley belt power steering pump.

Replacement and tension

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Use the hex wrench to unscrew the union 3 bolts on a belt pulley while holding the pulley with a screwdriver (a) from turning. 2. Remove the head pulley and the V-belt. 3. Remember the position of spacers inside and outside. 4. Fit the V-belt pulley half and install the spacers. 5. If you need to tighten the belt more, remove the spacer washer 1 between the pulley halves and set it outside. 6. Tighten pulley half 20 N ?� m. Check belt tension by pressing it with the thumb between the two pulleys. If the belt deflects approximately 5 mm, it is tensioned correctly.
