Removing the instrument panel assembly
Removing the instrument panel assembly is as follows:

1) If a radio with anti-theft code, write down the code (Fig. 11.98); 2) Turn off the ignition; 3) Disconnect the negative battery cable;

4) remove the panel from the lower side of the dashboard (fig. 11.99), for which: - Remove the left and right side of the console; - Remove the bottom panel on the driver and passenger; - Remove the wiring footwell lighting; - Open the glove compartment. - Remove the two screws and turn, remove a ware tray; - Remove the bottom two mounting bolts of the steering column; - Let down the steering column; - Remove the two screws from the bezel and remove the edging with the caps.

- Removing the three screws that secure, remove the instrument cluster (Fig. 11.100) (connectors and flexible speedometer shaft remain in the dashboard); - Press the clips and push the speedometer flexible shaft with holder forward; - Unscrew the plastic holder with flexible shaft of a speedometer; - Disconnect Right Connector (gray); - Remove the two bracket harness;

5) Remove the dynamics of the audio system from the instrument panel (Fig. 11.101), as follows: - Release the front panel; - Remove the sun sensor (on vehicles with electronic climate control); - Remove the speakers audio system from the instrument panel and disconnect the connector;

6) Remove the heater control panel (Fig. 11.102) (in a car with a manual climate control), as follows: - Remove the handle from the axes of the heater switch (use a small screwdriver); - Remove the front panel (insert your fingers into the holes, and gently pull off);

7) Remove the heater control panel (Fig. 11.103) (on vehicles with electronic climate control), as follows: - Insert a small screwdriver through the upper air nozzle and press the locking pin; - Gently pull the panel forward in this corner; - Repeat this operation on the other side; - Gently pull the panel at the top corners (or, if necessary, use a small screwdriver); - Handles remain on the heater control panel;

- Remove the fixing heater control panel; - Remove the bottom tray console; - Remove the bottom of the console mount; - Disconnect switch and the radio, remove the console;

9) disconnect a cable of management air mixer (Fig. 11.105) from the heater, as follows: - Remove the cover of a cable with a locking bracket; - Disconnect the inner cable from the lever (push lock);

10) disconnect the wiring and handle on the bonnet (Fig. 11.106), as follows: - Remove the bracket and handle on the bonnet with the bracket; - Loosen the fixing nut of the fuse box and lower it a few centimeters; - Disconnect the four connectors from the fuse box;

NOTE This operation requires two people. |
- Remove the bolts; - Cover the top column cover with a cloth to protect it from damage; - Pulling, release and remove the dashboard;
NOTE Controls remain heater in the car. |
- Pass through openings wires and control cables. Installation of the instrument panel on the car is made in reverse order of removal. When installing pay attention to the following: - Carefully position the instrument panel in its place; - Tighten the upper bolts by hand; - Put the screws of the module on the passenger side; - Put the rest of the bolts; - Adjust the position of the instrument panel and tighten the screws tightening torque 12 Nm; Once all the components are installed in the vehicle and secured, be sure to perform the following procedures: - Switch on the ignition; - Connect the negative cable to the battery; - Ensure that the SRS warning lamp in the instrument cluster does not burn.
A WARNING Before connecting the negative wire to the battery, make sure that no one in the car. |
- Enter the security code, radio; - Set the clock to the correct time.
