Testing time delay (Lag test)

While the engine is idling at a frequency when the lever movement to select the neutral position before the operation is felt should be a time lag.

Testing the delay in time is to test the performance ND, 1-2 and NR accumulators, front and one-way clutch, clutch the reverse gear and brake bands front lower gears and reverse gear.

Testing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start up the engine.
2. Check the engine speed of the engine idling.

The frequency of rotation of the crankshaft of the engine idling:
For Europe and Australia: 750-850 min -1
General: 700-800 min -1

3. Move the selector lever from the position "N" to the position "D".
4. Stopwatch to measure the time from the lever to trigger transmission.
5. With the engine running, move the selector lever to position N and leave the engine running at idle speed for at least one minute.

A warning

Engine operation for at least one minute at idling speed transmission fluid cools and prevents deterioration of its properties.

Before each subsequent testing for a sufficient time and cool the transmission.

Perform three tests on each mode, and calculate the average value of the time delay.

6. Similarly swipe tests when moving the selector lever in the following positions:

a. the position N> D;
b. the position N> D (switch O / D in position OFF);
c. the position N> R

Time delay: The N> D 0,5 ~ 0,6 with
Time delay: The N> R 0,6 ~ 0,7 with

Evaluation of the results of testing time lag (Lag test)

Condition
possible cause
Switching N> D
More than specification Insufficient pressure transmission fluid
Slipping clutch forward gears
Slip 1 one-way clutch transmission
Slippage 2 one-way clutch transmission
Less than specification Not working properly battery N / D
Excessive pressure transmission fluid
Switching N> 2, More than specification Excessive pressure transmission fluid Insufficient pressure transmission fluid
Slipping clutch forward gears
Slippage brake tape 2-4 Transmission
Slip 1 one-way clutch transmission
Less than specification Not working properly Battery 1-2 Gear
Excessive pressure transmission fluid
Switching N> R More than specification Insufficient pressure transmission fluid
Slippage of the front brake lining the lower gears and reverse gear
Slip clutch reverse
Less than specification Not working properly battery N / R
Excessive pressure transmission fluid
