Removing and installing brake servo stroke sensor diaphragm BAS

- Remove the GTZ (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of the main brake cylinder), - the detection of signs of leaks from the rear side of the primary piston cylinder must be replaced.
- Give nuts (4) from the position sensor.
- Disconnect the wiring from the sensor diaphragm stroke BAS (A7 / 7b1).
- On diesel models give a nut (17) on the left front suspension support of the power unit and the post left edge of the engine.
- On diesel models 163.113 (by VIN 093126) remove the control module of the vacuum pump (24).
- On diesel models will shift to pull the brake line (18).
- Take the plastic nut (19), - try not to damage the plastic retainer (20).
- Disconnect the electrical connector (27) of the gauge-switch is released BAS.
- Remove the cover to the left under the dashboard.
- Remove the retainer (25) and release the finger (26).
- Give fixing nuts (23) and remove the brake booster (16) to the pedal bracket (22), - try not to damage the cylinder head cover.
- Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to replace the seal (16d) and self-locking nuts GTZ.
- In summary pump over brake system (see. Section Bleeding brake system) and make sure of serviceability of operation of the gauge-switch of stoplights.

- A few taps on the brake pedal reset the residual vacuum in the brake pressure (A7 / 7b1).
- Give a nut (19), remove thermofilter (1b) with the GTZ.
- Depressing the lock tab located on the bottom (arrow) Disconnect the connector (2) wiring distance sensor diaphragm BAS.
- Having hooked a suitable tool, remove the retaining ring (16b).
- Pull out, remove it from its landing nest stroke sensor diaphragm BAS (A7 / 7b1).
- Check the condition of the sealing ring (16c), in case of need make replacement.
- Installation is in the reverse order - track landing fullness sensor receptacle.
