Removal and installation of a torsion rod

| Torsion rod rack repair kits are available for models with the release 1.8.98 - in case of failure of the components of earlier versions should fully replace the rack-mount units to a more modern! |
- Details of installation of a torsion rod shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
- Remove protection crankcase.
- Remove noise insulation.
- Remove the clamps (22b) from the lower control arms (4) and rubber bushings (22a).
- Release the bottom bracket (21b) rack mount and remove the torsion bar (10).
- Remove the rubber plugs from the top of the bar (22a and 21a), preliminary having marked their mounting position.
- On models of release since 01/08/98 washers (21i).
- Remove the retaining clips (21k).
- If applicable, loosen the fixing nut, remove the axle bolt and remove the rack torsion rod (21e).
- Extract the bushing from the rack (21h).
- Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure correct location of rubber plugs, before tightening the fasteners align bar.
