Removal and installation of the expansion tank

| - Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Disconnect the two vent hose (1).
- Remove the hose of the cooling path (2).
- Remove the bolts (3).
- Lift the expansion tank (4) and release it from the rubber pads (5).
- Disconnect the electrical wiring from coolant level sensor (6).
- Remove the expansion tank (4).
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.

| - Remove protection crankcase.
- Proceed in accordance with the instructions given in paragraphs 1 to 9.

M628 | - On the diesel engine equipped with a series of 628, the expansion tank is mounted as well as on petrol models (see. Above).
