Removing and installing thermostat
Petrol models Details setting of the thermostat assembly on petrol engines
| - Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Remove the trim panel of the power unit / air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect the hose of the cooling path (5).
- Remove the mounting bolts (3) and remove the cover of the thermostat (1) complete with a work item.
| To avoid irreversible damage to the operating element should not be removed from the cover - if necessary, replacement of the element in the collection is made with the latest! |
- Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to replace the O-ring (2), make sure that the fixture has been tightened with demanded effort.
- Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.

Diesel models M612 Details setting of the thermostat and the coolant temperature sensor on the diesel engine series 612
| - Remove protection crankcase.
- Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
- Disconnect the electrical wiring from the coolant temperature sensor (B11 / 4).
- Disconnect from the thermostat housing (3) of the cooling line (1) and ventilation (2) paths, - check the condition of fixing collars, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
- Remove the cover of the thermostat (3), - note the installation position of the connecting fitting (4), make a new gasket.
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.

| - Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
- Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Remove the air cleaner.
- Remove the cover of the cooling fan (see. Section Removal and installation of the cooling fan assembly).
- Set the screen to protect the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
- Remove the fuel filter (3) (see chap. Current leaving and service) - When the filter is wise to replace.
- Disconnect the vent line (2) Hose cooling path (1), - check the condition of the fastening clamp, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
- Disconnect the hose of the cooling path (11) of the supercharging air cooler (12) - check the condition of the fastening clamp, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
- Remove the actuator the throttle actuator assembly with the upper duct (4).
- Disconnect from the thermostat housing (6) Hose cooling path (5), - check the condition of the fastening clamp, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
- Disconnect the hose of the cooling path (7) of the nozzle (7a) of the control valve crankcase ventilation system - check the condition of the fastening clamp, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
- Disconnect from the nozzles (8a, 8b) and the hose (9), remove the line of the cooling path (8).
- Remove the support bracket (10) Cooler boost - to provide access to the cap screws (10a) to pry the screwdriver (arrow) and push aside the hose (9).
- Remove the cover of the thermostat (6), complete with a working element.
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.
