Replacement of brushes of the generator and a pressure regulator
The voltage regulator with brushes
Replacement of voltage regulator and generator brushes can be done without removing the generator from the engine, but it is necessary to remove the upper part of the intake manifold.
Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Turn off the ignition and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. | 2. Loosen and remove the poly V-belt drive of the generator. | 3. Remove the generator. | 4. Remove the screws from the back of the generator, remove the protective cover. | 5. Remove the two screws and, being careful to remove the generator voltage regulator with brushes. | 6. Measure the length of graphite brushes which should be not less than 5 mm. | 7. To replace the carbon brushes Unsolder current leads, remove worn brushes and springs, install new brushes with springs in the socket of the regulator and current lead solder in such a way that the length of the brushes is 10.0 mm. When soldering, do not allow any flux and solder on the current feeder, in addition to soldering. Check the ease of movement of the brush in the holder. |

PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Carefully set the voltage regulator with brushes and screw it on. | 2. Place the protective cover of the generator and screw it on. | 3. Set the generator. | 4. Install poly V-belt drive of the generator and adjust its tension. | 5. Connect the ground cable to the battery. |
