Electrical circuit switch

On the Passat applies single-wire circuit of the electrical appliances. With a plus of power supplies consumers connected to the wire, and with minus - through a body of the car or on the ground. This method reduces the number of wires and simplify their installation. Connection with weight minus power supply reduces wear of metal parts of a body because of galvanic corrosion. In some cases, direct connection to the electric consumer with weight is not enough, and the user is connected to the weight of an additional wire is usually brown.

Power supply to the majority of consumers supplied through the ignition switch. Circuits supplying the units of electrical work that may be required under any circumstances, always connected to the battery, regardless of the position of the ignition key.

To connect the wires used electric sockets with flat contacts.

For normal power consumer circuit must be closed, as otherwise there will be no electric current, for example, if a wiper motor positive voltage is applied, it will not work as long as its electrical circuit is not connected to the ground. The electrical circuit can be connected switches, relays, fuses, measuring instruments, motors and other electrical consumers. To properly connect electricity consumers contacts of electric sockets have corresponding labeling. To simplify the use of separate circuitry circuits are arranged vertically and are numbered. The bottom line on the chart - is the weight of the car. The connection to the weight of the car is carried out directly or through the body of the consumer power or an additional wire. Under the weight of the bottom line on the circuit diagrams are the coordinates on which, using the key, it is possible to define an electrical circuit or element.

Rooms on the electrical circuit in the black box at the end of the wire to display coordinates, where he continues. Also in this coordinate there is an inverse link.

When working with the wiring diagram is necessary to know a literal and graphic representation of electrical components.

Explanation lettering elements

A - Battery

B - starter

C - generator

D - the ignition switch

E - switch

F - mechanical switch

G - sensor measuring device

N - beep

J - relay

K, L, M, W, X - lamps, indicator lamps

N - solenoids, resistors, switches

About - the ignition distributor

P, Q - spark plugs

R - radio

S - fuses

T - the electrical connectors

V - motors

Next to the letter designation has numerical designation.

To identify the relays and control units, they circled frame. The lines within the frame are connected internally within the block.

The white figure of a black square indicates the number of relays on the relay. The figures denote the numbers of relay around the relay contacts, e.g., 17/87 designation indicates that the figure 17 - is a designation of contact on the board, and figure 87 - is a designation of the relay contact.

Contact 30. This pin is always a positive voltage of the battery. The wires connected to this contact, have red or red with a strip of color.

Contact 31. Contact is connected to the vehicle earth wire brown.

Contact 15. On this contact positive voltage is applied after the ignition. The wires connected to this contact, have green or green with a strip of color.

Contact X. On the contact is energized after the ignition, but when the starter voltage is switched off. This makes it possible when starting the engine to turn off unnecessary at this moment electricity consumers. Beam headlamps and are powered by the contact, so the included headlight and turned off the ignition, it automatically switches on parking lights.

The wires are denoted by numbers and letters located underneath.

These numbers refer to the cross section of the conductor in mm2, and letters - its color. If designated color wires there are several groups of letters, the first group of letters indicating the main wire color and the second - the color of the strip.

On the wiring harness connected single or multipin connector to the letter "T" is added to a combination of digits.

For example:

T2P = two-pin connector,

E32 / 27 = 32 pin connector to the junction point 27.

In the diagram, and all electrical switches are shown in a neutral position. Modified rate characteristics after exposure switch is interpreted by the example of a two-stage switch, see. Fig. Schematic diagram switch.

When you turn the switch to the first position, current flows from contact 82 to contact 83. A second section swi also set to the center position, but the contacts are not closed. Only by turning the switch to the second position a current starts flowing from contact 82 to contact 84, and further enters into the scheme. At the same time due to internal connections, and current continues to flow from contact 82 to contact 83.

A warning

The fuse marked on the fuse box under the number 24 on the electrical circuits of the car is indicated by the number 224, which is the electrical circuits to the number of fuse ahead of number 2 added.
