All year round in the cooling system is filled with a mixture of water, low-freezing and anti-corrosive additives G11 VW. G11 prevents freezing of the coolant, the cooling system corrosion and scale. Furthermore, it raises the boiling point of the liquid. The coolant circulation system, due to its expansion upon heating is formed an overpressure, enhances the boiling point of the coolant.
The pressure valve is limited in expansion tank screw cap, which opens at 1.2-1.5 bar. Raising the boiling point of the coolant required for the impeccable work of the cooling system of the engine. Too low a boiling point may cause stagnation of heat which interferes with the circulation of cooling liquid and cooling of the engine is broken. Therefore, year-round in the cooling system should be filled mixture.
As additives may be used only G11 or concentrate labeled "agreed TL VW774A" or "B".
