Withdrawal PERFORMANCE ORDER | A warning Designations parts are cooling systems 4-cylinder engine. Removal and installation of a 5-cylinder engine is carried out similarly.
| 1. Place a suitable container under the connecting pipe of a cooling liquid. | 2. Unscrew the bolts (4) connecting pipe coolant thermostat (21) (see. Fig. Water pump, thermostat coolant oil cooler 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines). | 3. Remove the sealing ring (7). | 4. Remove the thermostat (21). |
|
Check PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Measure the size of "a" on the thermostat (see. Fig. Dimensions Cold and hot thermostat). | 2. Warm up the thermostat in a water bath. This thermostat should not touch the walls of the vessel. | | 3. Control the temperature with a thermometer. Start opening the thermostat around 87 ? C, the end of about 102 ? C. | 4. After heating thermostat to about 100 ? C size "b" must be less than dimension "a" is not less than 7 mm. |
|
Setting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Replace the O-ring, set the thermostat and screw cap, fill with coolant. | 2. Run the engine until the thermostat opens. Check the seal cover and the coolant hose. |
