1. Interrogate the memory repair as needed. Poll memory may be made only by the reading unit VW-1551. To this end, the measuring unit diagnostic plugs connected to two diagnostic socket in the fuse box. |
2. Warm up the engine in motion until the oil temperature at least 80 ? C. |
3. Switch off all electrical consumers. Turn off the air conditioner. |
4. Check the ignition timing (see. Subsection 2.14.5). |
5. Check the tightness of the exhaust system. |
6. Make sure the valve of stabilization of idling. To do this, turn on the ignition and put a hand to the valve. He has to vibrate and hum. The valve is located above the cylinder head near the throttle pipe. |
A warning Connected control devices only when the ignition is switched off.
|
7. Connect the unit to measure the speed (tachometer) for instructions. As a rule, the tachometer is connected to terminal 1 and terminal 15 of the ignition coil. |
8. Connect the unit to measure the CO to CO measuring tube in the engine compartment. Metering tube is bolted to the exhaust manifold and is usually closed with a light blue cap. |
A warning Hose measuring unit should sit tight. Ensure that there is no leakage of exhaust gases.
|
| 9. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose (1) from the pressure control valve (2) and positioned so that it receives only clean air. |
10. Start the engine and run at idle until the first the radiator fan. Thus the engine can be operated for about 4 minutes with a high speed. |
11. Then, at idle speed, disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor (2-pole). |
A warning If the engine after removing the plug, stall, before restarting reconnect the plug to the sensor. Otherwise the control unit will operate in emergency mode and the correct check and adjustment will be impossible.
|
12. 4-cylinder engine: three times "to gas", with the pace picking up slightly above 3,000 r / min. Then, leave the engine idling. |
13. Check the idle speed and compare with the desired value (see. Subsection 2.18.8). |
A warning During proverochno- adjustment work radiator fan must not run.
|
14. Check the CO and compared with the desired value (see. Subsection 2.18.8). |
| 15. On vehicles built before 12/92 or 5/93 of g .: if necessary to adjust the idle speed (screws) and CO content (screw in) the rotation of the adjustment screws alternately. First remove the safety plug screw adjustment SB (if available). To do this, drill a hole in the plug 2.5 mm drill and then screw in the hole 3 mm self tapping screws and remove the cap for the screw clamp. After the adjustment, insert a new plug. |
16. Connect the plug of the engine coolant temperature sensor. |
17. Fit and attach the hose clamp on the crankcase ventilation pressure control valve. |
A warning If after that the CO content increases, it is not because of faulty adjustment, as a result of lubrication of the crankcase oil dilution as a result of driving in busy city traffic.
|
18. After a quick movement between the villages of fuel content in the oil is reduced and CO back to normal. Short-term, it is also normalized after 30 minutes of continuous motion or after an oil change. |
19. Disconnect the measuring instruments with the ignition off. |
20. Interrogate and erase the record from memory. As a result of disconnecting the plug from the coolant temperature sensor in the memory was recorded fault "faulty sensor or wiring." |
