Check the high voltage transformer

High-voltage transformer is located in the engine compartment on the left under the fence in front of the battery, the transformer includes the ignition coil, the unit is turned off and the final output stage, which are in the same housing.

4- and 5-cylinder engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the connector and wire high voltage transformer. Check the resistance of the primary winding of the ignition coil 2. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals 1 and 15. 3. Required value: 0.5-0.7 ohms. 4. If the value obtained is not correct, replace the transformer. Check the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil 5. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals 15 and 4. 6. Required value: 3-4 ohms. 7. If the value obtained is not correct, replace the transformer. 8. Connect a voltmeter to terminals 1 and 3 (-) connector (4). 9. Turn the ignition switch. Required value: Battery voltage 12-14 V. If necessary, eliminate open circuit in the wiring according to the diagram. 10. Switch off the ignition, disconnect the voltmeter. Verifying 11. Disconnect the valve of cold start and multicontact connection of injection valves. 12. Connect LED indicators to terminals 2 and 3 of the plug (4). A warning During this test, do not touch the hand of the connected parts of the transformer and high voltage wires of the indicator. 13. Turn on the starter. 14. The LED should flash. 15.
