Cars without European OBD

When lit warning light alerts the driver of a malfunction in the car. However, if the detected fault does not occur after 3 consecutive driving cycles, the lamp goes out. The lamp lights up immediately after ignition (without starting the engine), which indicates that its serviceability.
List of faults in which lights warning light:
- Faulty heated oxygen sensor;
- Faulty absolute pressure;
- Faulty throttle position sensor;
- Faulty coolant temperature sensor;
- Faulty regulator of idling;
- Faulty nozzle;
- Defective engine control unit.

Check
1. Make sure the ignition is switched on after the lamp is lit for about 5 seconds, then goes out.
2. If the lamp does not light up, the possible reason is the broken wires, blown fuse or the lamp.

Self-diagnosis
The engine control unit delivers control commands to the actuators processes the sensor signals (some commands and signals all the time, and others - only under certain conditions). If the computer detects a deviation from the norm, it records the DTC and sends a signal to the data link connector. The result of the diagnosis is displayed by lighting of warning light on the instrument or HI-SCAN. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in the computer memory as long as power is supplied from the battery. However, the DTC removed by disconnecting the battery or disconnecting the computer connector, or with an instrument HI-SCAN.

NOTE
When disconnecting the connector from a sensor when the ignition is recorded fault code. In this case, you should remove the DTC Disconnect the negative "-" battery.
