Intake air temperature sensor
Intake air temperature sensor is built into the gauge of absolute pressure in the intake manifold. The sensor is a variable resistor whose resistance varies depending on the temperature of the intake air. The engine control unit uses the signal of the intake air temperature sensor for controlling the duration supplied to the injector control pulses. After receiving information about the low temperature of the intake air, the computer adjusts the working mixture in the direction of enrichment by increasing the duration of the control pulses. At higher temperatures, the duration of air injection is reduced.
