Removing and installing the fuel pump assembly to the fuel reserve sensor

| - Details of the installation of the fuel pump assembly shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
- Empty the fuel tank (see. Section Emptying the fuel tank).
- Follow the procedures of paragraphs 2 to 6 of Section Emptying the fuel tank, remove the lid (84) of the window access to the assembly of the fuel pump / gauge of a stock of fuel.
- Disconnect the connector (arrow) of the fuel pump wiring.
- Disconnect the pump from the assembly line supply (90/12) and return (90/11) of fuel, with appropriate equipment, disconnect the fuel line and a stationary heater (90/13) - try to avoid kinking the fuel.
| If the stationary heater is not installed, do not try to unscrew the screw connector fitting. |
- With the right key, release the ring nut (89).
| The ring nut must be replaced without fail. |
- Carefully remove the assembly of the fuel pump / gauge of fuel supply (M3 / T4) from the fuel tank, - try not to bend the float lever sensor.
| Pumps with sensor integrated into a single, not subject to dismantling knot! |
- Installation is in the reverse order - Grease the sealing element (89/2) with oil.
