- Identified in checking the status of components of the cooling system (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust) damaged hoses must be replaced without fail.
- Drain the cooling system (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Loosen and move aside the mounting clamps. Carefully remove the hose from the suctions. If the hose is not amenable to removal, try rotating the it, taking care not to damage the pipe, breaking of which is fraught with significant costs, remember that the radiator pipes are among the rather fragile components! If the hose can not be, it must be cut, - the cost of a new hose is not comparable to the cost of acquiring a removable radiator. Before you cut the pipe, prepare a suitable replacement for the standard size element.
- When installing a new hose, first put the clamps on him, and then install the hose to the nipples. If you originally installed clamps clamping type, replace them with screws. To facilitate the installation of rigid hoses moisten the internal surfaces of the ends with soapy water or heating in hot water (do not immerse the hose in boiling water - it can exfoliate).
- After installing the hose fittings, check the correctness of its installation in the engine compartment. Set the clamps on the ends of the hose, the head of them for flaring pipes, and tighten them.
- Fill the cooling system (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Start the engine and make sure there are no leaks of coolant from the unit serviced.
