Replacing the gland outlet flange rear propeller shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Illustrative material to replace the oil seal input shaft transfer case is represented by the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the rear driveshaft.
  3. Raschekante and release the retaining nut (6) and release of the transfer case (1) the rear output flange (3), - try not to lose the washer (5) and O-ring (4).

The nut must be replaced without fail!

  1. Remove the rear oil seal (2) and using a suitable mandrel plant in its place a new one.
  2. Replace the output flange, - if necessary, replace the O-ring (4). Tighten the NEW and stake the fixing nut.
  3. Connect the propeller shaft.
  4. Finally, check the oil level in the transfer case, if necessary, make appropriate adjustment.
  5. Start the engine and check the transfer case for signs of leaks.
