Checking the V-belt

Special tools are not required. The necessary spare parts - V-belts of appropriate dimensions.

It is recommended to replace all belts at once, even if only one is worn out. Dimensions belts are specified in the instruction manual. Too low belt tension leads to increased wear or failure of the belt.

If a strong tension can damage the bearings corresponding units.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. V-belt must be replaced if: excessive wear, ruffled sides, traces of oil, porosity, cracks on the surface.

2. Check the belt tension, press down firmly with your thumb in the middle between the two pulleys, which have the greatest distance from each other.

3. V-belt alternator, power steering pump should cave in approximately 5 mm.

4. V-belt air conditioning compressor must sag about 10 mm.

5. V-belts and replace if necessary.

A warning

The new re-check belt tension after 10 minutes of work.
