Replacing the engine oil
To replace the engine oil need the following tools:
- Pit or a hydraulic jack with supports;
- A special tool for unscrewing the oil filter (pliers for unscrewing the oil filter), belt clip or a key tool HAIZET2172;
- End cap unscrewing the screw plug and drain the oil tank (if the oil is not sucked), which contains not less than 6 liters of oil.
You need the following parts to replace worn-out:
- If the oil is not sucked: aluminum or copper sealing ring screw plug oil drain (sometimes supplied with oil filter);
- The oil filter element;
- Depending on the engine 5.0-5.5 liters of engine oil. Use only permitted oil VW.
Number of replaced oil (with filter change):
- 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines: 5.0 L;
- 5-cylinder petrol and diesel engines: 5.5 liter.
The amount of oil is between marks "min" and "max" on the dipstick is 1.5 liters. The oil level should be between these tags. Change the oil every 15 to hold 000 km from the diesel engine every 7,500 km. If the machine is operated by a very small, change the oil once a year. At the same time replaced the oil filter element.
In severe operating conditions, in the urban cycle, short intervals, frequent cold starts, dusty: engine oil and filter changed more frequently.
Engine oil can also suck through the probe (at a gas station) through the oil filler neck.
In no case do not pour oil anywhere in hozothody, in order to avoid environmental pollution, such as pollution of groundwater.
