Throttle Position Sensor
The throttle position sensor installed on the side of the throttle body, the movable portion of the sensor is connected to the throttle valve axis. The sensor is a variable resistor (potentiometer) whose resistance varies with throttle position. When you open the valve sensor resistance decreases, and when it is closed - increases. The engine control unit supplies the sensor reference voltage and measures the voltage sensor signal circuit. ECU uses information from the throttle position sensor for controlling the ignition timing and fuel injection duration. According to the signals from the throttle position sensor and the air flow sensor control unit calculates the engine load.
