Removal, installation and adjustment of the main storage compartment lid (model manufacture 08.31.99)

- Remove the glovebox (see. Section Removal and installation of the main storage compartment).
- Slightly lift the cover (3) and release the locking lever (1).
- Remove the cover (3).
- Installation is in the reverse order.

- Loosen the screws (3) securing the striker (4) and adjust the position of the latter in such a way that in the closed position, the cover (1) is slightly pressed against the buffer stop.
- If necessary, se the box (see. Section Removal and installation of the main glove box) and release bolts (5), adjust the position of the hinge (6), achieving a uniform gap planting cover (1) in the opening of the instrument panel (2).
- Check freedom of travel and the condition of the lid latch it closed.
- Replace the drawer (see. Section Removal and installation of the main storage compartment).
