Checking the start of the feeding pump



Home delivery can be checked on the set and on the removed engine. Time required to verify the micrometer with an appropriate adapter for screwing the pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set cylinder 1 to TDC. To do this, turn the crankshaft so that the TDC mark on the flywheel and clutch influx, as well as the mark on the gear pump and the console in line (see. Subsection 2.5.2).
2. The rope of cold start accelerator control is not pulling.
3. Tension toothed belt should be the norm.
5-cylinder engine
4. Remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
5. Fold the radiator with the support of the lock forward.
6. Remove the casing of a gear belt drive pump.
7. Unscrew the drain plug on the pump cover.
8. Screw the plug instead of the adapter (VAG-2066) with a small hour micrometer (measuring range 0-3,0 mm) until the mic until the arrow begins to move. Adjust micrometer for the adjustment ring to "0". Then press on the mic further: readings on the scale of about 2.5 mm (5-cylinder engine: 2.0 mm).
9. Turn gradually crankshaft in the opposite direction of rotation (counterclockwise) until the arrow is micrometer stops moving.
10. Micrometer with indicating about 1 mm is set to "0".
11. Rotate the crankshaft in the direction of rotation (clockwise) up until the TDC mark on the flywheel is aligned with the corresponding label. Now mic should show the test value (see. Tab. Checking and adjusting the value of the stroke).

A warning

If the test pressure is permitted to the extent that a new adjustment is required. If you will be a new regulation, it is necessary to set the adjustment value.


12. To adjust, unscrew three screws (2) on the console and the bolt (1) back stop.
13. Turn the pump to set the adjustment value of the stroke and tighten the bolt to 25 Nm.
14. Remove the mic and screw the pump cover drain plug.

A warning

O-ring always replace the screw cap. Tightening torque - 15 Nm. When decompression is allowed to tighten the moment no more than 25 Nm.

Adjusting the 5-cylinder engine


The adjustment can be made as follows:

- Rotation of the pump after removing the bolts console and stop the 4-cylinder engine (the first method);
- Rotation of the drive gear pump (second method).

A warning

In order to be able to watch the testimony of a micrometer when the drive wheel pump, the rotation from the bottom of the machine, installed on the box or lift.


The first method

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Hold the drive gear pump first pass loosen bolt 1 turn.
2. Check the position of the crankshaft at TDC, if necessary, set at the TDC.
3. Turn the drive gear pump first pass, against the direction of rotation (in the direction of the arrow A) until the arrow micrometer stops moving.
4. Adjust micrometer to "0".
5. Turn the drive gear pump first pass in the direction of rotation (in the direction of the arrow B) until the mic will not show the adjustment value (begins).
6. Hold the drive pinion first pass in this position and tighten the bolt at the beginning point of about 50 Nm.
7. Recheck the start of the supply of crankshaft rotation back and forth. Then recheck the start of the service.

A warning

As a result, the toothed belt slippage test value slightly deviates from the adjusted value.



Example:

The adjusted value (target value)
= 1, 00 mm piston stroke
Inspection Tag
= 0.93 mm stroke of the piston
Deviation (1.00 minus 0.93)
= 0.07 mm stroke of the piston
Deviation value gives the required adjustment value ahead (for the second adjustment)
= 1.07 mm stroke of the piston

The second method

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Hold the drive gear pump first pass loosen bolt 1 turn.
2. Check the position of the crankshaft at TDC, if necessary, set at the TDC.
3. Turn the drive gear pump first pass against the direction of rotation (in the direction of the arrow A) until the arrow micrometer no longer move.
4. Adjust micrometer to "0".
5. Turn the first pass pump drive gear in the direction of rotation (the direction of arrow B), yet not show micrometer adjustment value (in this example - 1.07 mm).
6. Hold the drive gear pump in this position first pass tighten the bolt pre-torque 50 Nm.
7. Check again start feeding rotation of the crankshaft back and forth.

A warning

If necessary, repeat adjustment many times until it reaches the desired value.


8. Holding the drive gear pump first pass tighten to 100 Nm.
9. Remove the mic and tighten the drain plug on the pump cover.
A warning

O-ring always replace the screw plug. Torque: 25 Nm.


10. To establish a casing of a gear belt with the support of the castle and the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
