Adjusting V-belt tension
| - Check the condition of the V-ribbed belt and its location on the pulleys.
| - Check the belt tension, having pressed on it effort of 100 N in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection.
|
| - Check the location of the edges of the V-ribbed belt pulley groove.
- If the V-ribbed belt makes unusual noise, check the belt for wear and damage, as well as working surfaces of pulleys.
|
| - The belt tension should be measured exactly in the center between the pulleys.
- When a new belt is installed, adjust the tension to the average value given in the column "New". Reused belt is considered to be a belt, worked on the engine for more than 5 minutes and the tension must be adjusted to the average value given in the column "used".
- When adjusting the tension of a used belt or belt, who worked on the engine for more than 5 minutes it is necessary to adjust the tension to the average value given in the column "used".
- For periodic check-ups should be guided by the column "Test".
|
Tension measurement special device type A | When measuring the tension device wedge a belt must not touch the other components of the engine.
|
Tension measurement special device type B - When measuring ensure that the key turned in the direction of re-installation of the arrow, the arrow to set the device to its original state.
- After removing the unit from the belt needle still will indicate the belt tension.
